"It is said that being a follower of Jesus in today's world is an act of rebellion. The commentator was saying that in today's world, with its competing philosophies of consumerism, atheism, moral relativism, and everything else, being a believer in God goes so much against the accepted views that it is a form of cultural rebellion. In a sense, being Christian is counter-cultural. The Disciple Culture was created for rebellious followers of Jesus who act against the world and want to share their faith.
The Disciple Culture was founded in 2018 with a simple mission, but not a clear path on how to achieve it. The idea came from the founder, Jared Taylor, who made a New Year's resolution to be more selfless and Christ-centered. He called it "Death to Self", meaning that to become a better follower of Jesus, one must rid themselves of all the things holding them back. This concept has become the ethos of The Disciple Culture and the central focus of our ministry, to help people follow the teachings of Jesus.
Jesus said, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me."
